A water main has broken in Leeds today, causing water outage to about a third of homes and businesses in Leeds.
City officials say the water main break is located near Lehigh Cement plant and they are isolating the problem to fix it. The line will be replaced due to age.
Water should be restored by 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The City of Leeds announced on social media that their downtown facilities, including the Administrative, Development and Public Works offices, will be closed today due to the water outage.
Fire Chief Chuck Parsons said on Facebook they are unsure when it will be fixed.
