Strong storms possible for Alabama this weekend

Storms have caused power outages in Leeds.

While the weather is looking good for the next couple of days, the weekend may see some severe storms, according to AlabamaWx Weather Blog.

A storm model is predicted to move across the center of the U.S. and will reach the Southeast, including most of Alabama. The trend in the weather may bring storms by 3 p.m. Saturday.

Rain is likely through the weekend though flooding is not expected. However, large hail and potentially damaging winds are possible.

The report even includes the possibility of tornadoes, although more specific details about this will be brought to light, the report says.

Rain is expected to continue into Sunday but will stop by Monday, which will see sunnier weather.
