St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office to offer distracted driver courses at Moody High School

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office will be offering a distracted drivers course at Moody High School as well as at several others in the county throughout July.

The course is aimed at youths of ages 14 to 18. The course at Moody High School will be held on July 19 at 10 a.m.

Distracted driving is often dangerous and can be fatal. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 3,116 people were killed in 2017 as a result of distracted driving.

Information on how to email forms for the course to Sgt. Matt Morris are available on the St. Clair County Sheriff’s website.

Dates and times for other courses are:

July 9 – Odenville High School at 10:00 am

July 10 – Ashville High School at 10:30 am

July 12 – Springville High School at 10:00 am

July 16 – Ragland High School at 12:00 pm
