Ron Hamilton named head basketball coach at Leeds High School

Ron Hamilton has been named head coach of Leeds High School's basketball team.

Leeds High School has named Ron Hamilton as the new head coach of the Greenwave’s boys basketball team, according to PrepsNet online.

Rayford Williams, Leeds High principal, told former Leeds High School student Kwyntwn Gage with PrepsNet that Ron Hamilton will take the reins of the Greenwave men’s basketball program. Hamilton is replacing former coach, Zane Arnold.

Hamilton served as assistant coach at Leeds under Arnold during the 2018-2019 season. He served as head coach at Fayette County High School for four years and led the Fayette County Tigers to an Area Championship and Elite 8 appearance during the 2016-2017 season. 

Hamilton, an Alabama A&M graduate, spent two seasons at Hoover as an assistant, and one year at Huntsville High School as Head Coach, PrepsNet reports.
