New owners of Old Smokey delay reopening

Cory and Cody Price are the new owners of Old Smokey.

Old Smokey’s new owners announced Sunday they have to delay their opening that was planned for Monday until late December or early 2019.

Cory and Cody Price said they had unforeseen things they had to replace and will not reach the Dec. 3 planned opening day.

“We are working hard to open very soon,” Cory Price said on Facebook. “Sorry it’s taking longer than planned. Hope to serve the Leeds community as soon as possible.”

Old Smokey is being reopened in its previous location on Parkway Drive, with a new bright red paint job and renovated interior.

  1. Good luck….people are cruel hearted so get thick skinned guys! People are so quick to pass judgement but never have tried to run a business before.

  2. Many congratulations and best wishes from your friends in New Orleans! Sharon and I look forward to dining with you during our next visit to Leeds. I know my mother can’t wait for you to open!
As always, we look forward to your visits to New Orleans. Come see us soon, and drag Cliff along with you!
