Leeds city officials break ground on Buc-ee’s

Leeds city officials broke ground Wednesday on the new Buc-ee’s coming to Leeds in fall 2020.

A crowd of more than 100 gathered at the site of the future Buc-ee’s on Highway 78 off Interstate 20 at Exit 140.

Construction starts in the fall with expected opening date in the fall of 2020.

The giant travel center will bring 200 jobs and the owner Arch “Beaver” Aplin said he aims to hire Leeds residents.
