Leeds Arts Council to hold auditions for ‘Esther the Musical’

“Esther the Musical” is a faith-themed play that the Leeds Arts Council will hold in July after auditions for the roles take place starting in late May.

The performance is about a young Jewish orphan who becomes Queen of Persia in the Ancient World. It was written by Martin and Janice Landry, both of New York City.

In addition to the role of Esther, other character roles available for audition are: King Xerxes, Haman, Memucan, Mordecai, Vashti, Tala, Zefresh, the Stooges, Crabby, Hegai, Daria, Leila, Parisa, Bigthan, Teresh and other characters.

Auditions will be held on May 31 and June 1. Performances will begin on July 18 and will run through July 28.
