Leeds 12U Green Machine still in the running to win World Series

The Green Machine is in the top 4, which means they received red Dizzy Dean caps and new Rawlings batting helmets with Dizzy Dean World Series on the side.

The 12U Green Machine baseball team has made it into the top four of the Dizzy Dean World Series and will continue in their race for the title.

The team won their latest game today 11-10 in an “awesome, heart-stopping win” against Grenada Recreation to secure at least third place in the World Series as of Thursday night.

Games resume Friday morning where the boys play a team to play in the championship game against the Walker County Miners from Jasper.

The team is defending their World Series title that they won last year.

The Green Machine has been battling to win the World Series since last Friday but endured three days of rain delays due to Hurricane Barry before playing again Wednesday night.
